SES Gregg R. Kendrick

Executive Director, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command

    Gregg R. Kendrick currently serves as the Executive Director, U.S Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command. He serves as the Principal Advisor to the Commander. Mr. Kendrick’s responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing the staff and three subordinate organizations, while ensuring proper employment of subordinate forces in support of global, full-spectrum cyberspace operations. This includes securing, operating, and defending the Marine Corps Enterprise Network classified & unclassified systems for Commander, U.S. Cyber Command.

    Prior this billet, he served as the U.S. Cyber Command Deputy Director to the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in Chantilly, Virginia. He established and managed the Office of Campaign Coordination within NCIJTF, facilitating whole-of-government initiatives against advanced persistent threats in the cyber domain.

    During his time with U.S. Cyber Command, Mr. Kendrick served as the Senior Technical Advisor in the J-3, Future Operations Deputy Directorate, & supported the J-3, Joint Functional Component Command – Network Warfare.

    In May of 1989, Mr. Kendrick was commissioned and began his career with the U.S. Marine Corps as an Artilleryman, earning the additional qualifications of Information Operations, Special Technical Operations, and Joint Qualified Officer throughout his career. He served in all three Marine active Divisions, held a variety of positions, and enjoyed multiple deployments. External to the Marine Corps, Mr. Kendrick completed two tours with the U.S. Navy and a tour with the Joint Staff.

    Mr. Kendrick entered the U.S. Marine Corps from Valparaiso, Indiana. He attended Virginia Military Institute on a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps scholarship, graduating “with Distinction” and as a Distinguished Naval ROTC graduate. He received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and completed the Seminar XXI program administered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Mr. Kendrick’s operational and combat time include deployments in support of Operations DESERT SHIELD/STORM, RESTORE/UPHOLD DEMOCRACY, SOUTHERN WATCH, and IRAQI FREEDOM.
