Mark Schaad

Director of System Architecture, ManTech

    Mark Schaad is the Director of System Architecture in the Innovation and Capabilities Office (ICO) of the Chief Technology Officer at ManTech. ICO’s broad portfolio of customers include the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and Federal/Civilian Agencies. He serves as the security architecture subject matter expert to solve complex mission problems for ManTech’s customers. He also manages independent research and development (IR&D) projects in support of the Cyber Next Group Strategy.  

    Mr. Schaad has been with ManTech for 11 years and brings more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, systems architecture and integration, and multi-level security solutions for the Intelligence and Defense Department communities. He is a strategic thinker with broad-based IT experience designing, building, testing, and integrating cutting-edge solutions with established technologies. Prior to ManTech he served as Principal Information Security & Systems Engineer at eXMeritus Software Federal Systems automating cross domain solution workflows for critical national security systems. Before that, he served as a Senior Information Security Engineer for General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems providing secure system engineering and network penetration testing of critical systems. 

    Mr. Schaad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester at New York and a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance and Cyber Security from Capella University at Minnesota. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2003.
