Chris Carpenter DoD Cyber Crime

DoD Defense Industrial Base Collaborative Information Sharing Environment (DCISE) Director

    Mr. Carpenter is the Director of the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), DoD- Defense Industrial Base Collaborative Information Sharing Environment (DCISE), located at Linthicum, MD. DCISE is the DoD designated analysis and reporting center for cyber incidents affecting the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Mr.

    Carpenter strives to enhance the security posture and collaborative relationship between DoD, the DIB, and government stakeholders.

    Mr. Carpenter is an information security professional with over 20 years of experience. He has served in various high-level IT positions with different US Government agencies. Mr. Carpenter was the CISO for Secretary of Defense

    Communications (SDC) and the US Mint. He was a consultant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Executive Office of the President. He also has extensive experience managing Security Operations Centers, performing incident response and penetration testing.  Mr. Carpenter is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as an avionics technician on various airframes.

    Mr. Carpenter currently resides in Laurel, Maryland, with his wife and two children.
